The R-Axis IV is an X-Ray diffractometer that uses imaging plates. The instrument is designed specifically for rapid measurement of diffracted X-Ray from single protein (macromolecular) crystal samples, but can range to small molecule crystals. This current model features 2.25 times larger aperture for detection, a 4.0 times higher readout speed, and twice the sensitivity.
